Literature Text

There's a brave young friend who
Will love and defend you
And whisk you away to a far distant land

There's a wide-eyed hero
Who'll trust and believe though
The world won't understand

There's a peace that's broken
There's an oath unspoken
There are lives that can't be kept
There are children who have wept
There's a price that can't be paid
There's a planet to be saved
There's a war to unfold
There's a story to be told

There's a shining light there
Waking from a nightmare
It's a dream you can only hope to see

There's a fading whisper
And I'll sorely miss her
The sudden reality

There's prayers that never last
There's evils of our past
There are bodies left to rot
There are vows we all forgot
There's the curses we must cure
There's the pain we must endure
There's a war to unfold
There's a story to be told

There's a war to unfold
There's a story to be told
It started with the first two lines constantly repeating in my head and a sudden snap that went "Alright, I'll finish this damn thing so I can finally get it out." It's now stuck in my head even more.

It has a sort of slow, solemn tune to it, which I'm unlikely to ever sing without fear of humiliation.

It's based on my comic Poccotam which I'm still working on. Enjoy reading the reason why I'm not a poet.

it sounds really good, and i know you wont like this idea but if i could get you to work with john, then we could get him to make a tune to go along with it
